The average high school graduate finds himself earning a lifetime total of $1.2 million during his or her working years. The Associate Degree holders earn about 1/3 more, and those with a Bachelor’s Degree top out at roughly $2.1 million during their working years almost double the income of the high school graduates alone. So with a college degree of any type, you can expect to earn more over your life time than someone that elects not to go to college.
There are some non-financial benefits that you also gain while obtaining your college degree. Your education and subsequent degree will provide you with a higher understanding of cultural tolerance, a greater understanding of situational differences, a decrease in prejudice, better parenting skills, longer lives, greater accomplishments and an improved sense of optimism. These skills are essential to a happy and healthy life style.
